Caffè Vergnano 1882 100% Arabica Moka Ground Coffee Tin 250g

The all-Arabica tin ground specifically for a moka pot rather than a machine. Medium in strength and built around creaminess, so the stovetop cup arrives sweeter and rounder than a general-purpose grind would give.

Fill the moka funnel loosely without tamping, use a low heat and take it off as soon as the top chamber fills. The grind is a little coarser than espresso, so a pump machine will run it fast — this one is for the hob.

Roasted in Santena, just outside Turin, by a family that has made coffee since 1882. The roastery is deliberately slow about it — cycles of fifteen to eighteen minutes at 180–200°C rather than an industrial turbo roast — and each origin goes through the drum on its own, blended only afterwards so each keeps its own character. Two hundred and fifty gram tin, ground for moka. Ground coffee stales faster than beans — keep the tin closed and use within a few weeks of opening.
