Agrimontana
Agrimontana makes the jams, candied fruit and nut creams that Italian pastry kitchens buy, and Crema Aroma is an authorised UK distributor for the retail jars and the single-portion hospitality sizes.
The company was founded in 1972 in Borgo San Dalmazzo, in the Piedmont hills, and started with candied fruit before moving into jams, chestnuts and gelato bases. It works only with Italian-grown fruit and uses no colourants, preservatives or artificial flavourings; the fruit spreads and extra jams are made with 60 to 107 g of fruit per 100 g, depending on the jar, with cane sugar. The ZERO line has no added sugar and is sweetened with erythritol, maltitol and sucralose.
The UK range: fruit spreads, extra jams and marmalades in 330 to 350 g jars (apricot, cherry, sour cherry, peach, plum, quince, fig, raspberry, strawberry, wild blueberry and bitter orange with peel as spreads; Mara des Bois strawberry, Pêche des Vignes peach and wild cherry as extra jams; bergamot and Amalfi lemon marmalades), the ZERO jams, the 26 to 40 g portion jars for breakfast tables, candied chestnuts and chestnut cream, hazelnut and pistachio creams, the candied fruit mostarda and acacia honey.
