Agrimontana Apricot Spread 330g

Apricots at 72 per cent, with cane sugar and lemon juice. Whole fruit slow-cooked, so pieces stay recognisable in the jar.

On toast at breakfast, folded into a tart or stirred through yoghurt. It also belongs on a cheeseboard, where the fruit cuts through something aged and salty.

Agrimontana have worked at Borgo San Dalmazzo, at the foot of the Piedmontese Alps, since 1972. They were among the first Italian houses to give up sulphites, and work without colourings, preservatives or synthetic additives.
