The Kitty brews the same way as the Moka Express but wears a rounded, contemporary shape rather than the classic octagon. Stainless steel throughout, so it suits every hob including induction, and the softer profile makes it the easier of the two to leave out on the counter.

Fill the base to just below the safety valve, fill the funnel loosely with moka-ground coffee and screw the top on firmly without using the handle for leverage. Heat gently and take it off as soon as the upper chamber fills. Three to six minutes on a low to medium heat.

Hand wash in warm water, dry fully before reassembling, and avoid detergent and abrasives. Not dishwasher safe. Wash before first use and discard the first three brews. Covered by Bialetti’s one-year manufacturer warranty.
