Sir Adalbert’s Green Tea - 110g Loose Tea - Tin

Plain green tea, unscented. Loose leaf, so the leaf has room to open and the strength is yours to set.

Brew with water off the boil, around 80°C, two to three minutes. Boiling water scalds green leaf and turns it bitter; let the kettle stand a minute first.

Loose leaf: a rounded teaspoon per cup, and take the leaf out rather than leaving it in the pot.

Sir Adalbert’s is a Sri Lankan house, and the range is built on Ceylon leaf.

One hundred and ten grams of loose leaf, in a tin. The tin keeps light and damp out, which a cardboard box does not. Store in a cool, dry place, away from strong smells — tea and chocolate both take on whatever is next to them.
