Vincenzi Chai Tea Syrup 700ml – Glass Bottle

Chai syrup from Vincenzi of Turin, from the maker’s tea syrup line. The spiced-tea taste comes from flavourings rather than brewed tea, so a chai latte needs only the syrup and a jug of milk: nothing to steep and nothing to strain. Plain caramel gives it its dark colour.

For a chai latte, stir the syrup into steamed milk, or into cold milk over ice; it also goes into a cup of black tea or a latte. Vincenzi serve their tea syrups long, with water, crushed ice and a slice of lemon, at the label’s one part syrup to six parts water.

Vincenzi is a Turin family firm that has made syrups since 1930; this one is produced by Nuove Distillerie Vincenzi near Turin. Vincenzi make their syrups with refined sugar rather than glucose, and the watercolour on the label is by the Italian artist Barbara Fantaguzzi.
