Gentile Premium Panettone Coffee & Chocolate 1kg - Gift Box

Panettone raised on natural yeast over a fermentation that runs up to seventy-two hours, with dark chocolate at 55.5 per cent cocoa butter and coffee worked into the dough. The long rise is what produces the open, shreddable crumb; there is no chemical raising agent in it.

Serve it in thick slices at room temperature, or warm it very briefly so the butter loosens. Coffee alongside, or a sweet wine. It comes in a gift box.

Type "0" wheat flour, egg yolk, butter, dark chocolate (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter 55.5%, emulsifier: soy lecithin e322, aroma: natural vanilla), coffee, sugar, natural yeast (from wheat), acacia honey mixture, malt paste (barley malt, extract, water, enzymes containing tender wheat flour), lemon fruit paste (glucose-fructose syrup, lemon peel, sucrose, concentrated lemon juice, natural lemon flavour), orange fruit paste (glucose-fructose syrup, orange peel, sucrose, concentrated lemon juice, natural orange flavour), mono and diglycerides of fatty acids (e471), salt, vanilla.

Gentile have worked at Gragnano, in the hills behind the bay of Naples, since 1876. The preserves come from the same house as the pasta and from the same part of Campania.
